There are max stroke cranks that are legal.
There are stroker cranks that aren't.
The term stroker is used loosley with no real definition of what your getting.

A true stroker crank would not be NKA/AKRA legal and would increase (or decrease) the stroke and require a longer or shorter rod and matching piston.

Usually with a longer stroke crank, a shorter rod is used to keep the piston from popping up out of the hole or depending on rate of increase, a special piston is used to take advantage of the better rod ratio.

If you had a stroker crank and a longer or same size connecting rod couldn't you turn the piston down in a lathe to lighten the piston and bring it to zero deck height?
