    That's a great question!!
What you could do is put the risers on the other way.
Instead of the taller one on the end with the adjuster bolt put it on the opposite end of the sub plate.
Then put the shorter riser on the end where the adjuster bolt is.

What keeps it from adjusting in flight? Can you put it on a one piece sub plate?

    Thanks Jim !!

That would work better for me. Having front access would help me from burning forearms on pipe assembly.

Is any right hand offset possible with the QPT? Is it available for 28mm frame rails?

Yes it can be offset to the right a considerable amount but i don't know how to reference it to something.
Yes it will work on 28 mm frame rails.

One of my friends (Eric) changed the rear sprocket at the track the other night. Eric has the QPT mount.
There was another friend (Tom) there at the trailer with a conventional motor mount.
He started to change his sprocket at the same time as Eric. ---- I watched.
When Eric was done he helped Tom loosen and retighten his mount several times to get the chain tension right.
Tom is supposed to stop over to purchase a QPT mount before the next race.

    Good Morning Jim,
Here’s a couple photos from yesterday down in steamy hot Delmar Iowa at the Cup Karts North America race.
Grant was the 2017 Northern Division and National Champ in 206 Heavy and Spin (Cale) was the Northern Division Champ in 206 Sportsman. Both are leading the points this year in the Northern Division.
I have worked with the QTP motor mount on our weekly race kart this year and absolutely love this thing! Gear changes are a snap! Minor chain tension adjustments now take seconds, not minutes. No more guessing what the tension might be when you tighten down the frame clamps.
    Thanks,
    Ross Zimmermann

Is the bolt pattern large enough to mount big block Hondas on T/O REDEMPTIONS?

I've been using a QPT for about 2 months & I am VERY happy with it. Gear changes aren't the anxiety-inducing exercise they once were. Thanks for the great mount!

It is made to fit the international frame rail spacing that you find on most karts.
I'm sorry but i'm not familiar with the frame rail spacing on a factor.
If you compare the spacing on a factor to that of the international spacing you'll have your answer.

What keeps it from moving is precision machining and some special tensioning devices.

Can the QPT move when not wanted?
This is racing, extreme conditions of the unknown are always a possible and we can't warranty or guarantee any such claims, that things could not happen.
Once purchased the racer takes on the responsibility of the part and its maintenance as in any racing product because every situation is its own. But we contest that the QPT is less likely to fail than current mount on the market. Each system has redundancy to fight against any chance of unwanted movement.

The mount uprights are serrated where they meet the frame to reduce the mount shifting.
The "butterfly" clamps are made from chromoly steel and have two (3/8 X 16 X 1") bolts on each so that it is extra secure (can be run with one also) Other motor mounts use flimsy (in comparison) butterfly clamps and are either made of aluminum or normal steel.
The jack screw itself has a friction system built into it to stop it from turning from vibration if the main hold downs were left loose.
The plate hold down clamps have two locking mechanisms and also extra thread to keep it from ever coming apart completely if assembled wrong. So even if something was assembled wrong/left loose the mount has multiple fail safes in place to make sure you can still finish a race. This goes with our theory that our product can only succeed if you do at the track!
It is a friction driven system.
Both the jack bolt and the plates slide with a precise amount of friction that allow them to move with the screw but not the force of the motor.......
After the design was finalized, with all our testing and all the mounts sold we have not seen or had a report of any one ever moving on the track.
