The GOAT and Who's Yo Momma Race #1 March 3rd @ Triple T

Triple T Raceway is proud to present the 2018 “GOAT” Series and the “Who’s Yo Momma” Points Series sponsored by Dyno Cams and Maxxis Tires.
GOAT Race Points Race #1 March 3rd!!

For many years, the norm in Points Series across the country in Karting has been, you run 5 or 6 races and if you are lucky enough to win, you receive a leather jacket. Well, we at Triple T have decided to change that up a little bit. We will be offering over $15,000 in cash and prizes. See below for more details on the prizes we are offering.

The GOAT Series: At the end of the 2018 Goat Series, we will crown a GOAT (Greatest of all time) in each points class. The driver will go down in the history books as the GOAT of that class for 2018. Do you have what it takes?

The Who’s Yo Momma Series: We know Mommas are very important at the track for the young drivers and play a big role in either their kid makes it to the track or not. So, we have decided to give back to the Mommas that dedicate many weekends to ensure their kid races. All the Mommas for our kid’s classes, Kid Kart, Red Plate, Jr1, Jr2, and Jr3 will compete at each of our point’s races. The Mommas will not have to do anything crazy like drive a kart, but instead they will compete in fun type competition. These competitions will not only be fun for the Mommas, but also the fans. They too will have 6 points races with one drop. The winner of the Who’s Yo Momma Series will receive a custom golf cart. See below for all prizes for this series.

We will have a total of 6 points races during the 2018 season with one drop. We will also reward any driver an additional 5 points if they compete in all 6 races.

In addition to the cash payouts and other prizes, the TOP 5 in each points class with receive an invite to the 2018 Maxxis Nationals!!

We are looking for a few more sponsors to cover the remaining Points classes. If you are interested in sponsoring a class, please contact Terry at (910)751-2694

We will be selling parking for the 6 race series. The cost for reserve parking will be $150 which will give you front row parking for all 6 races. The parking will be set in the order the payment is received.

The following classes will be competing for points and their respective end of the year payouts for each point’s class:

So is this going to be with the actual Raceiver brand head set for kid kart or will we continue using the walkie talkies as we have been? I just want to make sure we have ours for the Mach points race. Overall, I fear this could be a hurdle to getting the kid kart count up. I personally don't mind coughing up the money, as we are local and will likely run there a lot. For people who consider a one time trip to the track, I think it could certainly sway their decision. If there were some rental units at the track, I think that potential issue could be avoided. Don't take this as a gripe or complaint, just some thoughts from the point of view of the racer. Either way, we are there.

    Thanks,
    Tim Flack

As far as the Kid Karts are concerned, Dads can continue to use walkie talkies to communicate with their driver. For all other classes, Raceceivers can be purchased for $99 and we will program so they can hear the Race Director. Below is the link to purchase.

Uh Oh?!?!? Buggy pushers are on the clock.
We will be giving the Buggy Pusher/Crew Chief an opportunity to show case their skills against their peers from other teams and a chance to win some cabbage. We will have our first competition at our first GOAT race March 3rd. The winner on March 3rd will also receive a provisional for the competition at our Savage 60 March 31st. We will finish the Buggy Pusher Series at the end of the year with a Huge Payday!! More details to come.

After several "old folks" contacted us, we have decided to add SR Stock (35&Over) to the line up.

We will add guaranteed money to the SR Stock a couple of times during the points races depending on the participation level.

Terry, could you post the detailed kid kart rules so we are all on the same page (gear rules, governor status etc). All the tracks in the area seem to have differing rules so it may be helpful to others that are planning to come and are accustomed to the other rule sets? Thanks!

    Kid Kart rules for TTT

    Age: 4-7 Beginners ONLY
    Engines: 50cc Comer, or a 2.5 Clone, or a 3hp Predator Engine.
    Drum Clutch, Small Pipe.
Maxxis 4.5 tire on all four corners
Max Tire pressure is 15lbs in all 4 tires
Lap times cannot be less than 20 seconds.
    Must have a raceceiver
    Must have a chest protector
    Must have a neck brace
Must have an approved racing helmet
Must have a fire proof racing top
    Must have fire proof cloves

We will implement a gear rule for each of the motors if your kid is running faster lap times than 20 seconds. This is a TRUE beginners class. Trying to be hyper competitive is not the goal in this class. This class is intended to get the driver comfortable on the track, learn flags and other track rules.

If you want to be competitive and do all the tricks to your kart, you will have to move up to Red Plate.

Thanks! I like the 20 second rule. Learning to race beside others is so important for this class. They will learn so much more than running off with a half track win!

Is there anyway to spread the clone classes out a little? 1 to 2 class between leaves no time for changes. Move one or two to the top of the line up would really help out the teams with multiple drivers. Thanks
