Have you been getting any kid karts? I wanted to get my son out on the track this weekend for his first time, would it be possible to get him some laps by himself? I want to make sure he is able to handle himself on the trap and consistently make laps without getting in the way of other karts. Thanks!

Pretty sure this is not the race to do that. This is a big competition with a lot of participants.
Best bet would be to go to Tri County tomorrow for one of their regular Saturday night points race.
Here is the link to that, just keep in check because it may be cancelled because of weather.

I'm well aware of the size of the Mid-State races which is why I asked prior to just showing up with any expectation. My work schedule severely limits the Saturdays that I have off which is why I am looking for any opportunity to get him some laps, even if it is just during intermission. Trust me, I would much prefer to go to a local show where the race day is much shorter and allows for more time, unfortunately I have to take any opportunity that a promoter will afford me.

Jr. 2 ACE is a points class within our local series. For this particular event, we are offering 5 bonus points for everyone who enters the ACE classes along with some money and extra track time for the Mid State racers!

Unfortunately, I had a mix up with my days and will not be able to make it this weekend. I will; however, be bringing little man and the kart up there sooner than later. If he is anything like his dad he will need plenty of runoff room and I know Tri-County is a nice safe facility! We look forward to coming.

Great event at TCK yesterday. The track was fantastic and the racing was outstanding. Not to mention done at a decent hour.

Thanks to Scotty and his entire MidState crew for a great day yesterday as well as the MidState Series overall.
