As long as it is no safety issue, shouldnt and wont the market ultimately decide? Out here in asphalt sprint land we tried tire treatments as a way to get lousy tires to behave like good tires. Ultimately it did not work out. The users decided that...

Look on Facebook at the vintage kart sites (just search for vintage karting) and post a picture. Scroll thru the sites for a kart like yours to get a price idea. If its vintage Tricks are desirable. Must be straight rail frame, pre-1990`s, not...

Bottom line, racers will need to support whatever rule. Pretty easy to vote, by showing up, or not. Hope the promoters have their finger in the right pulse. Time will tell.

Post #7 - I heard it was a fiberglass resin mixture. I saw one that was done. Hard to make it stick to rubber. The one I saw already had chunks beginning to peel off. It hurts the series that has a tire rule. No need to allow it. Where is the...

Any chance we can start early on Saturday and be done by three PM? Another local track has there opening night on Saturday and many of the karts that race weekly there may not come to CLS if they can't be done in time to make opener. Just a thought!...

Oh I agree, 95. It's too late to do anything now short of your idea of impounded tires. This wall stiffener stuff is just an extension of the prep mayhem. Karters made the bed, now let them sleep in it.

I believe the genie has been out of the bottle for quite a while. Hard to try to limit what most have agreed is largely unpoliceable. Impounded spec tires may be an option, but it is amazing what racers can and will do when the tires are in their...

I have an opinion.... For the last 10-15 years we have concentrated entirely on UAS racing and our average tire bill is between $1500 and $2000 a year. We recently started dabbling in the 'Stock' classes (stock, by the rule book, what a joke) and...

Ahhh... You might want to get your facts straight before posting. The UAS and RWYB have an open tire rule and they are the fastest growing classes in karting.
