Anyone run this game? If so what are your race names and what servers do you mostly run?

I raced the Nascar game from Sierra since 1999...I got out of it after the 2004 game came out and took up karting....I went by the name of T-Bone8 and Hudgens080.......I really enjoyed it but after seeing how alot of guys figured out ways to crack the game and cheat I decided I had enough....

i still race both karts and papys nascar2003
race online about 4 times a week(wedsdays and my short day at work on friday are for working on kart )
papys nascar2003 is the best so far the ea game aint got nutin on it yet.....
some of the best SS and ST racing youll find without driving a real one

I was looking around on www.drt-editing.com and saw a track that they said was made for a kart ad on and then I remembered a post on here about a year ago from brads grafix unlimited that they designed a kart ad on and was just wondering what ever happend about this? also wondering if there are any kart ad-ons for dirt track racing 2 out there?

There already is a kart mofd out right now, however, its a 2 cycle sprint mod and not very well detailed. However, we are doing testing with a dirt/asphalt oval mod containing flat karts and champ karts.

I had a buddy of mine building a kart model to try and install in the game...He got it to where we could do pics of it in 3-D Max but he never really finished it up...As far as going back to sim racing...I can't...I don't own a computer at my house anymore...Sold it to help get kart stuff...But I really do miss the SS racing...Especially the 3 night Tally Rally race they had once a year...

Ive been runnin Sierra's Nascar Racing Series since N2. There is no other nascar sim out there that can compare to Nascar2003, Nascar really screwed up when they gave the rights to EA Sports because nascar heat isnt worth having. Everything about heat looks so animated, even though Nascar2003 is two years old it is still years ahead of heat. Just goes to show you that money talks & .......you know the rest, just imagine if Sierra/Papyrus could have gained the rights...would have been unreal. As a matter of fact I believe Papyrus has closed their doors because of losing out to EA Sports. Wish they would have jumped into making dirt sims games to replace Ratbags "Dirt Track Racing" series, I have both of them along with their sprint car series and they are alright but I believe Sierra/Pappyrus could have done an amazing job.

BTW....when I raced online I was known as "PCRCR" and raced in several different leagues. If anyone remembers please let me know because I would love to hear from someone I raced with.

i cant remember where it was but i herd that papy was trying to get the rights back.

Does anyone know if Ratbag is coming out with anymore games soon? Also, has anyone else played the new Nascar Sim Racing game by EA?

Why play another Nascar sims game if you have Sierra/Papyrus Nascar 2003? e a sports is still so far behind their sims look like an old '80's video game that was made for old sega genisus. Just stick with Nascar 2003 b/c that it the best one out right now. As for dirt track games, Ratbag is still the best one out, like I said b/f, I would love to seen Sierra/Papyrus come out with a dirt sim, but then Nascar was the big push & dirt track racing was just so so. My how times have changed....lol

I know that Nascar 2003 is amazing, i've had it since it came out, and yes, i also know that EA is VERY far behind on their sim racing, but I wanted to know if anyone has raced the new one, just to know what they think of the old one. Ratbag's games are amazing, but I'm afraid that they aren't going to do anymore due to the lack of interest (compared to the sales of most games)

Yea I dont see anymore dirt track games being produced but maybe I shouldnt give up. Ive tried logging on to www.papyrusracing.com to sse if they have anything in the making but got something as to they have shut their doors or something.

papy has lost the rights to ea for at least 5 years before they come available again(think thats right)
first racing which consists of the man who started papy has purchased the source code for the nascar games.
together with a big $$ backer theyre creating an upto date sim...think of it as n2003 updated with new graphics physics engine ect ect...
now here is the tricky part....
since ea owns the rights to nascar drivers,track,cars ect ect.....first willl leave it up to the sim comunity to create the proper paint schemes and tracks and so forth.....
if anyone wants to check it out come over to ssracin.com we race about 5 nights a week and with 1 race left 2 of the points championships are seperated by less than 20 points.....
avg superspeedway fields are around 20+ drivers
fun stuff.....
and a great way to get your racing fix during the week while waiting for sat

ratbag has a game out called saterday night speedway i have the game on PS2 i got it at gamestop i like it it has 3 race modes on it (Midget, Pro stock and late model)

Thanx Doing it in the Dirt....As far as sim racing goes I ran in the NTR Plus league and was part of the StatRacer Group...Papy has also shut down their forums...Been down for a while...I enjoyed sim racing but karting is way better!

Your quite welcome, anytime you get a write up as the one you got always means your doing something right. And I totally agree with you that sim racing is no comparison to karting.

I have also played that Saturday Night Speedway for the pc & wasnt that impressed at all with it....for the sim racer lets hope someone steps up to the plate & does something other than ea sports...because for those who cant afford to do any type actual racing, we need something better than the atari lookin' graphics which have been offered lately.

SNS for the playstation was pretty good, and the cars even handled differently (amazing, isn't it). The problem with the Nascar 2005 CFTC on playstation is that the trucks are the best handling cars out there (excluding the mods). A lot of times you will actually get better lap times in the trucks, and the cup and busch cars just push like crazy. They definitely could do a little better on the handling of the cars. Although, the graphics on the PS2 version are pretty good

yeah atri could step it up a bit on the graphics but i just like it because it is dirt racing the big game companies don't care about dirt racing and they never will and if they do it won't be like real life i wish they would do something for dirt racing but that is like asking a pig sprout wings and fly

Terry...KILLER ride...looks like there was some time spent on that paint job. I dont have anything I drove with b/c when I quit racing I took everything off my 'puter & didnt save anything. It was just a plain yellow chevy with BRC (Blademan Racing Club/Community) forget which one. However on tha rear it did read "HAUL LAS".

Thanx....Some guy named Chris did it for me...I just remember him being 15 years old and had a great talent for painting cars....Wish I could get him to design me up a killer scheme for my kart
