Re: NC Dirt Series King of the Clay Race # 4

Jim,
Can you explain to me how a racer not at the track can recieve points? because it looks like to me and others that they will be eligable for the 50 point bonus for attending each KOC race even when they were not at race #3. I was not the only one to suspected this when the name was on the qualifing sheet with no qualifing time time, and now the points are showing that the person was there. Please enlighten me, and racers in other classes may also need to look for this. If you would like to discuss this further please give me a pm.

Kenny

Let me know what class in a pm you are talking about please. I know of only 2-racers that missed qualifing and was going to start in the back of the main event because one had a engine problem and the other call ahead and came in late to enter.

Thanks Jim

Me too. And I hope they do something about the roughness and waviness of the track because if they don't I will quit running Liberty and go to a SMOOTHER track!!

So what you are saying (by telling me to go to another track), is that it won't be fixed, correct? I mean it has been rough all year. I don't know of any tracks having an all year problem with roughness. It seems like every race they get pot holes in the middle of the track and they have to put cones or those styrofoam boxes in the middle of the groove to keep you from tearing your floor pans off! I just want to see it fixed because I enjoy racing at Liberty when it is decent!

This isn't a time to be tellin people to go to another track. All tracks are havin low kart counts and tellin one to go run some where isn't very smart. But on to the track being rough. That's track has been rough for the last three years that I know of. And really it has been better but it is a matter of time and the hiles will be back. But there are tracks or a track that dont have holes or track probs. And that being said if it was me and I was told to go run somewhere else I would. That is the reason I don't run there. To ROUGH.

i agree james i would like to see this track smooth, that is the only complaint i have about liberty, but that wont stop us from running there. i mean they do put up some big money and we all know that will keep the karters coming

I just think you are a cry baby. I grew up racing up north and Libertys worst weeks are about average for the northern tracks

If you race somewhere else go to there threads and leave those of us who are loyal alone.

I have been around a long time and so has a lot of you and I can tell you about rough Tracks but I want bash them I will go to there face. Clone 55 come and visit me so we can address your issues. I'll call Bob tommorow and get your info so that we can talk if you don't call me.

Jim... it's not just people on here telling others to race somewhere else. You need to talk to your flagmen.

Jim as far as you talking to me there is no need in it. I have come to your track just about every race this year and watched others that run. And like I said in the last post. The track has got better, but the hole come back. And Im not hiding behind a user name. My profile is filled out. And if I did talk to you what would it help. People have got on the forum since I been racing saying how rough the track is and just now this year seen a change. The main thing I was talking about is one of your racers is telling some one to go run some were else. And at this day and time all the tracks need the karts they can get. That was the main thing I was talking about. And again like I said if a person dont like a track dont run there. Which is what James said he would do if it didnt get better.

Well that shows you dont think very much. What in the thread showed be being a cry baby. I just stated a fact and you come unclued. You need to read the whole post I made and not just take what you wanted out of it. Im going to be nice and not say what I think you are LMAO

Re: NC Dirt Series King of the Clay Race # 4

The first year I started running the "KOC" they had new dirt down, 3 years ago, and we were going fairly slow, however the track was the best it has been in 4 years. I believe the start of last year, they took all the new dirt out (correct me if I am wrong, b/c I am not 100% sure) and it got fast again, and the same as it was 2 years before. Maybe I am the only one that thinks this, however I would rather go slow, and race on a smooth track, than be going 11.9s running over holes. That just equals very dangerous conditions. I love racing at liberty, and I know Jim does everything in his power to make the track the best he can and I appreciate that!

Thanks,
Dave Richer

Re: NC Dirt Series King of the Clay Race # 4

Thanks again for all comments.

What I am saying and I want even talk about it again is to come to me and tell me what your concerns are. It don't even need to be on the site all of you know that things happen out of anyones control no matter where you go I'll only work harder to make things better if at all possible. But look at people who get mad and go out here because thet are mad because they may have gotten Blacked flaged or something don't go there way I don't have to defend myself for putting 200% in evrything that I do and the things that I try to bring to the Karting family. I will listen to anyone about there concerns and try to fix them if possible but some of the comments that are made are totaly out of line. If I can't help you I don't want to hurt you. Enough said I will listen try to address and make adjustments but I can't make everyone happy but I am glad that there is only a few that feel bad about the Track. All we have to do is to work together and talk face to face thats when issues get resolved. As for the Track Speed I am going to slow it down because there is a lot of people that can't drive at the Speeds and be safe. So I will continue working as always but I will never please everyone and I have to except that and go on.

I thank everyone who comes and races and I will always listen and try to help.

Thanks Jim

We are Racing if something happens we will post on 336-622-6778 and on this site by 800pm.
