stagger

Can someone explain stagger to me? As in more/less in front/rear to tighten or loosen kart, Thanks

Don't use stagger to tighten or loosen... Front stagger is used for controlling weight transfer across the front end! Rear stagger is used for rolling through the corner! I hope this helps

this is how I learned many years ago. think of you back tires as a Styrofoam cup laying on its side.

the open end of the cup is larger, this is your right tire.

the bottom of the cup is smaller this is your left tire.

when you roll the cup on its side it turns left. the greater the difference between the two tires (more stagger) the sharper it will turn or moving the two tires closer to each other, the sharper it will turn.

so if you turn the wheel and the kart wants to go strait. you would increase stagger (make RR bigger or LR smaller)

if the kart wants to spin out in the turns, decrease stagger (make RR smaller or LR bigger)

Now, there are a ton of other adjustments to make it the kart work, but this it the basic principal of what stagger does
