red hawk clutch

hi dose any one run a redhawk clucth and if so has had any trouble with it, mine has got cracks in the outer housing its on my gx390 kart

where the ears of the plates locate in the front corner going round to the centre i will try and put some photos up tomorrow

the problem with the red hawk clutch is i m pretty sure a 3 tab clutch disc right?

i just bought a 4 disc bully 1" clutch. i will take pictures tonight and show everyone. i have not seen any good pictures of this clutch and it is very nice, although i havent run it yet.

redhawk has 3 tabs on each disc it has 4 discs

well there ya go.........the bully has 8 tabs on the discs. and the redhawk is a outboard clutch.....i d be leary of that.........

I use this clutch in a modified form. Yes the Horstman bell will self destruct. I machined it to be an inboard clutch and used a Bully STAR or Jackshaft bell and installed 8 tange Bully discs. It works great and hasnt failed in 4 years and I put 60HP to it. Some might ask why i didnt just buy the Buller 1 inch 4 disc. It didnt exsist at the time.
Theres a pic of it on the engine im trying to sell in the for sale section.

bloody hell 60 hp thats alot man mine i think about 45hp lots at bottom end for karting , i will weld it up for now until i get a new one

I have a BUlly 3 disc 1" clutch...is it really that different than the 4 disc?

It will help the 3 tang bell to raise the stall up around 4000rpm+
