Re: 200 mph kart!

Man that thing would fly especially if you dropped 35 teeth on the axle.I wish I could fabricate like that ol boy.All them "custom parts" he fixed must have took a long time......At LEAST 15 or 20 minutes. And thats after he found the rusty cotter pin in the floor of his papaws tool shed.

Re: 200 mph kart!

if i had enough room in my shop which is taking up by lambos and ferraris along with a couple jets and yachts, i would buy it although i dunno if im experienced enough to drive that thing because i'm not use to parts flying off so i might get hurt in it, but if it was local i would probably take it for a test ride, but as far as a motorcycle motor i have raced motocross for almost 20 years i highly doubt that 1989 kx 250 motor is capable of running that speed no motor how many teeth you drop...but like a wise man told me yaers ago never give up on your dreams

Re: 200 mph kart!

He said "Ive been ride sense ive been 13". Not a very good commentary on the Kansas public school system. Would you buy something from a guy who responds like that? 100% feedback and 1800 views so he's doing something right. I did notice this as one of his feedbacks... "seller description was true but wasnt the whole truth". Ok, so maybe it can only go 180

That thing is one work of art.

Re: 200 mph kart!

Being I cant keep my mouth shut and allow ignorant people to talk, I had to ask the guy a question. It will come up on e-bay but here is the copied version...

Are you smoking crack? If that go-kart will run 200 mph then, I have a tricycle that my daughter pedals at 55. Economy goes to **** and the scam artist come out. I feel sorry for anyone that attempts to buy this garbage. Nevermind, if they believe what your saying then they deserve to get ripped off.

I guess a "Muray" kart is what you call an old Margay that this whiz kid has worked his black magic on? As an American, I am glad he is on our side.

The brake pedal is not even hooked up on that one. I left a message on the first one also but I have not got a response back from him.

Re: 200 mph kart!

Really sad thing is that a 29 tooth on the rear axle is right in the ballpark for that motor. I hope he just guessed and doesn't really know anything.

Re: 200 mph kart!

the qualifications for being an experienced driver for this cream puff would be having several degree's in the E.M.T. field and have the reflexes of anikin skywalker........ and possibly this is under qualified . or just have a 'brain" like sponge bob's friend patrick the starfish....(here's your sign)

The kart appears to be an 83 Margay Expert III chassis. I had one back when they were new.

Are you sure you have enough experience to handle one of those beasts? Id hate for someone to get hurted, seein how it plainly says only experienced racers should try and race those babies.

Muray is one "r" short of Murray, aka: a brand of lawnmower. But it's GOTTA be fast, heck, half of the paint was blown off at speed.

I think that should have been one of the criteria.....HE drives it and proves it'll do 200mph. If he/it survives the run, done deal. I wonder what speed rating those dirt oval tires have???. LOL Al

Re: 200 mph kart!

Whoever run it up from 300 to 5400 in one bid just cost them well over $100 in seller's fees by my calculations........lol

What are friends for, right?

I believe it is an old Margay "Pro-X" We bought one used in '83 just for dirt and indoors
