Its one of our grinds, in unrestricted stock it works best on tracks that needs alot of acceleration up off the corners. It will run pretty much on all tracks but usually works best when you are using 15 tooth clutch and under..

Jerry,
On that note i have one of your motors with the dx5
400 lb wka stocker running 1/8th mile -geared at a 12-69
running about 6800-7000 would i be better to switch to a dx3-thanks Gary

Yes Gary

OPn the set up..just set valve lash at .003 to .004 on both valves.. Make sure the block you are using has been welded on ex lifter bore.. JD

It has been welded. What's the lift?

On a unrestriceted stock 21 lbs in and 20 lbs ex is close.. Timing depends on how good your carb is.. We set them at approx .220 BTDC


Rooster.. the lift on the intake depends on head delpt.. Approx .350 running lift on intake and approx .320 on exhaust with the correct valve springs.. Thats the critical thing here,, the springs..
